Christmas songs playing on my mind with these last posts – and so we have Christmas time, mistletoe and wine……..ok ok so it’s actually Hypericum berries, roses and wine satin ribbon but hey! I blame www.christmasfm.ie for all my song themed titles and hope they are back doing their fantastic fundraising work next year!
AnnMaries’ wedding on the 29th December and a berry theme! Her beautiful dress (that I was shown while in the bridal suite) had fabulous deep red/wine detailing – a gorgeous dress for a gorgeous bride!
The bridal bouquet was made using large white avalanche roses and deep red hypericum berries, finished with wine satin taken from the bridal gown and ivory satin. The 3 bridesmaids bouquets were smaller versions of the bridal, and the stems were wrapped in the gorgeous wine/red satin from the bridal gown, supplied to us by AnnMarie.
For the 2 cute as buttons Flowergirls, we made pomander balls, and again used the sash from the bridal gown for the handles – don’t worry, the wine sash was replaced by the dress makers with an ivory one
I thought it was a lovely way to incorporate the dress material into the bridal bouquets.
I delivered the bouquets to the Clontarf Castle and now i’m trying to come up with an occasion that merits my husband bringing me there for a night – its’ amazing!!
