When Amy Furlong, Senior Advertising Executive at Confetti Magazine called me at 6pm on a Tuesday evening to ask me for an emergency bouquet, I knew I couldn’t let her down! 5 minutes after the call the inspirational pictures were emailed to me and plans were made to be in the Smithfield Market at 6am in the hopes that I could fill the brief!
Luckily, I was able to purchase just what we needed and I got back to the house in time to let my husband go to work, via a stop off to the workshop to collect tools and ribbon to make up the bouquet in my kitchen (just like old times!). As Lorraine and I work from home from Monday to Wednesday, last minute orders can sometimes cause a problem with childminding, luckily Amy being as lovely as she is, said to bring the boss along!
The bouquet was a hand tied posy of sweet unique roses, a gorgeous pale pink rose with a vintage feel, mixed through with pale green hydrangea and white hypericum berries.
Jnr was much admired in the Studio although I was a nervous wreck, as you can see from the images, a white backdrop, white gowns…beads and shiny things – not the ideal mix with a 2 year old! So, a quick picture while he was distracted with a fab beaded bouquet (thanks Alexia!!) and we were off, with a coffee from the cafe next door to refresh us (ok, he gets frothed milk but demands Coffee as soon as we step foot into a coffee shop, I still have him fooled!)
Looking forward to seeing the bouquet in print in the August issue!
