Tara’s Wedding

IMG_1426.JPGIMG_1430.JPG

On 1st July Tara and Eric were married in Laytown Church, Co. Meath. I’ve blogged about the view behind the alter in this particular church before, on this day the sun was shining and the sea was just amazing!!

Tara chose Gerbera’s in mixed pink tones for both her own bouquet and the Bridesmaids and Flowergirl. Tara’s own bouquet had deeper shades of pink while the girls carried paler pink tones which complimented the turquoise dresses perfectly!!

In the Church, we provided 2 Large Pedestal Arrangements either side of the alter and decorated the pew ends with ivory shimmering organza and 2 gerberas with a folded aspidistra leaf.

Star of the Sea

On 29th May 2010, Aisling and Albert were married in the Star of the Sea Church in Sandymount, followed by a reception in the gorgeous Brooklodge Hotel. It was the final wedding of my crazy weekend, 3 weddings in 2 days with no Lorraine (who was busy enjoying the last day of her holidays in Peurto Rico!)

Aisling and her mum first met with me back in Autumn 2009 and we had our meeting with a cup of tea at my kitchen table! The one request Aisling had was that Lily of the Valley featured in her own bouquet. So, from there we decided on the bridal bouquet of white roses, heavenly scented lily of the valley and delicate mini white calla lillies.

The three bridesmaids carried simple posies of white calla lillies finished with ivory organza and the 3 flowergirls carried posies of white hydrangea and purple freesia.

Aisling and her mum fell in love with the idea of using blue Hydrangea in the church decor, and we designed 4 pedestal arrangements, 2 larger arrangement for the base of the aisle, 2 medium for the Rear alter using hydrangea and delphinium and and an arrangement for the alter into which we placed the unity candles (supplied by Theresa Kelly and now available through RosieDays).

The pew ends were dressed simply with a large Hydrangea bloom, alternating white and blue and finally, 2 bay trees guarded the front entrance.

Sarah by the Sea…

IMG_0705.JPG

10th April 2010, and our second Sarah of the weekend! I can tell you, things got a little confusing with a Sarah getting married on Friday 9th and a Sarah on Saturday 10th – and with 2 totally different themes! Yesterday was Sarah in Foxrock (remember the last blog entry, Lorraine had robbed the Sat Nav and was blissfully “unlost” in Foxrock!) Today though, it was the wedding of Sarah & Geoff who were married in Bayside in Sutton on a gloriously sunny day. Driving along the coast road in the van with Lorraine, spanish guitar music on, you would be forgiven for thinking that you were in sunny spain!

Sarah decided on the beautiful vintage style Leonidas Rose for her bouquet, we tied these with creamy vendella roses and finished with deep green ruscus collar. We wrapped the stems in lace with pearl detail.

The bridesmaids wore gorgeous two toned dresses and carried simple posies of vendella roses with diamonte detailing and the flowergirl carried a pomander of gypsolphilia with roses. In the church, we provided a unity arrangement, 2 Large Traditional Pedestal arrangements and pew end decoration of a lily, rose, gyp and greenery with organza tulle. Finally, a pair of Bay Trees framed the front entrance. I can’t swear we did not stop for 99′s on the way home :)
