Lots of Lizzies in Tinakilly!

Lisianthus was the feature flower for Sandra’s wedding celebration in Tinakilly House on 16th July! She opted for purple lisianthus posies for her 5 bridesmaids and an elegant teardrop bouquet for herself.

The bridesmaids bouquets were made using a bridal holder and individual blooms of lisianthus positioned in each to create a full, vibrant and unusual posy! We also added a cute butterfly detail to each – butterflies being the theme of the day and featured on Sandra’s Table Name Cards and decoration.

Sandra’s own bouquet was an elegant teardrop creation using white Akito Roses, Crystal Blush miniature white calla lillies and white bouvardia, the foliage used was french soft ruscus and hard ruscus, to create a nice contrast of the dark green framing the white flowers. As is usual with my teardrop bouquets, it is hand-tied and finished with ivory satin surrounding the stems, and a sparkling Butterfly!

We were also asked to decorate the ballroom in Tinakilly. We provided our 90cm Silver Candelabra, with mirror bases and tealights for each table, and silver organza sashes for each chair (chair covers provided by the hotel, RosieDays do also provide Chair covers!)

We finished each candelabra centrepiece with tealights and lisianthus blooms. The weather was gorgeous and the surroundings at Tinakilly are fabulous with a seaview which really adds to the old-world charm of this country house Hotel

Vintage Elegance, Rosie Style

31st January – New Year’s Eve, brought us to the wedding of Gail and her fiance – the venue – The Tinakilly House Hotel in Rathnew, Co. Wicklow.

Tí na Coille – House of the Wood – a Victorian mansion steeped in history, for more information click here.

Gail had requested a tear drop bouquet, with lots of natural green foliage, white roses and deep pink orchids. A beautiful combination and something a little different! Bouquets made using individual orchid blooms involve a lot of work! Each bloom is wired individually and taped, to hide the wire and seal the stem of the orchid. The roses, and greenery that we used – tree fern and soft ruscus were arranged in a bridal bouquet holder in a soft, loose teardrop shape.

We used some of the fabulous orchids again in the 2 bridesmaids bouquets and tied them together in a posy along with sweet avalanche roses, finished with a soft ruscus collar and deep fuschia satin ribbon handles.

Gail also commisioned us to provide our Vintage Style Silver Candelabra to complete the look at the reception venue at Tinakilly House. The vintage style of the candelabra perfectly were the perfect compliment to the period house backdrop at Tinakilly. We provided our square mirrored bases and dressed the candelabra with delicate strands of natural ivy.
