Sarah by the Sea…

IMG_0705.JPG

10th April 2010, and our second Sarah of the weekend! I can tell you, things got a little confusing with a Sarah getting married on Friday 9th and a Sarah on Saturday 10th – and with 2 totally different themes! Yesterday was Sarah in Foxrock (remember the last blog entry, Lorraine had robbed the Sat Nav and was blissfully “unlost” in Foxrock!) Today though, it was the wedding of Sarah & Geoff who were married in Bayside in Sutton on a gloriously sunny day. Driving along the coast road in the van with Lorraine, spanish guitar music on, you would be forgiven for thinking that you were in sunny spain!

Sarah decided on the beautiful vintage style Leonidas Rose for her bouquet, we tied these with creamy vendella roses and finished with deep green ruscus collar. We wrapped the stems in lace with pearl detail.

The bridesmaids wore gorgeous two toned dresses and carried simple posies of vendella roses with diamonte detailing and the flowergirl carried a pomander of gypsolphilia with roses. In the church, we provided a unity arrangement, 2 Large Traditional Pedestal arrangements and pew end decoration of a lily, rose, gyp and greenery with organza tulle. Finally, a pair of Bay Trees framed the front entrance. I can’t swear we did not stop for 99’s on the way home :)

Pink Lady

IMG_0426.JPGIMG_0428.JPG

On 4th February we created bridal bouquets for Emma Hughes who was married in Rathfarnham Church.

When I first met with Emma, she explained that the bridesmaids would be wearing deep pink dresses and that she would like pink bouquets, but would also like a splash of purple in her own! So, I suggested mixed pink tones and I think they turned out very well – Emma was very happy with them!

We used stunning two-toned deep pink “Amalia” Roses, Bright Pink “Aqua” rose and the pretty pale pink, aptly named “Barbie” Rose. Hand-tied together with gorgeous creamy vendella roses and a small amount of deep purple lisianthus in the brides’ bouquet. We finished the bridesmaid’s bouquets with luxurious deep-pink velvet to match their dresses and the bridal bouquet stems were wrapped in ivory satin and finished with pearl pins.

We also provided our Bay Trees at the front of Rathfarnham Church, dressed with Organza and deep pink satin ribbon.

Vintage Style for Finnstown Bride

IMG_0407.JPGIMG_0409.JPG

29th January and a beautiful crisp winters’ day! I delivered bridal bouquets to Emma at Finnstown House for her wedding day.
Emma wasn’t sure what flowers to have in her bouquets and with the bridesmaids wearing black satin, the choices were unlimited! I showed her a picture of a similar bouquet we had done at a previous wedding and she absolutely fell in love with it.
I have to admit, the combination of the old-fashioned Leonidas roses with the creamy vendella is one of my favourites!
We finished the bridal bouquet with muted antique gold satin ribbon and the bridesmaids’ bouquets were finished with gold ribbon and black lace detailing.
